Ekstatis

You will hear thunder and remember me,

β€œIn many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person
complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed,
they would ask one of four questions:

When did you stop dancing?
When did you stop singing?
When did you stop being enchanted by stories?
When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?”

 -Gabrielle Roth

We dwell as spiritual creatures within the corporeal, equal parts darkness and light. We tend the shadows and the bones, turning the garden and planting the seed. This dance between worlds is our birthright in this mortal coil, and if we are to celebrate the times of joy, we must also find within us, the way to dance. We must possess wholly both our own voice, and our song.

For any who have forgotten the music, i give you "Ekstasis". This state of being literally "besides one self" is to shine an inward light on what we are in our circumstances, however dire. May she serve as the guardian of both your joy and your sorrow, to remind you that even in the midst of the darkest hour, it is the transformative power of your song that brings the light once again.

Hidden images are incorporated for the viewer to discover on her own. The original print was created at an astrologically favorable time with magickally appropriate aspects. This shamanic art works as a talisman to incorporate her shadow soul energies to awaken the dormant divine feminine within you.
